Our Story
In some ways. Aspen Grove Christian Church has been around for a number of years and in other ways, we are like a new church. We trace our roots back to 1953 when First Christian Church of Nashville came into existence and soon thereafter purchased property. Through the years, facilities were built; a Christian camp was begun; and a school known as Franklin Road Academy was established. Then in 2004 the decision was made to sell the existing facilities and relocate. This was truly a step of faith for the congregation as we did not know where our new home would be or where we would meet in the interim. Thankfully the Woodmont Hills Family of God (who had shared our facilities in the mid 90's while their new facility was being built) extended an invitation for us to meet at their facility until we could find a permanent home. In July 2007 a wonderful facility that had been used by numerous Christian artists as a recording and music venue became available for purchase and after two-and-a-half years of searching for a new home, our prayers were answered. With the move to the new location we changed our name to Aspen Grove Christian Church. Our first service in the new facility was held on December 9, 2007.
