Who We Are

Aspen Grove Christian Church is a part of the fellowship of churches referred to as the independent Christian churches.  Today there are approximately 5,500 - 6,000 such congregations with a membership near 2 million.

Our historical roots trace back to the early 19th century in a religious movement that came to be known as the Restoration Movement.  The primary focus of the movement was a call for Christian unity.  We are nondenominational and while we are not the only Christians, our desire is to be known as 'Christians' only.

Some of our identifying characteristics include:

   - An emphasis on the centrality of the New Testament

   - Believers' baptism

   - Weekly communion

   - Congregational autonomy
